I hope you got all you could out of the weekend, Monday’s back

Brad Johnson Vikings

Happy Monday, everyone!

I hope you had an enjoyable weekend, I know I did.

Ya’ know, weekends up in this part of the country should really be longer in the summer. I’d work 50 hours a week or more for 3 months in the winter if I could then work 30 hours in the summer. This is one of those ideas that really should go somewhere.

Around the DN since our last open thread:

Chris continued Minnesota Vikings By The Numbers with number 62, the not-so-popular number 61, and a pretty easy choice at number 60.

Ted looks back at some of the Vikings’ greatest playoff wins, chime in with your favorite.

Chris wonders who the Vikings’ Jenga piece is, the guy who, if lost, could cause the team to topple.

Chris shared the report that Teddy Bridgewater is working out with Stefon Diggs and Jarvis Landry. The knee must be doing well if they’re letting him work on his own, encouraging news!

Luft Krigare wants to know how good of a Vikings fan you are.

Chris joined Chicago Bears Review and previewed the Vikings’ 2017 season.

Vikings news from other sources:

Matt Vensel at the Strib is counting down the 17 most important Vikings in 2017, and Trae Waynes is on the list at number 11.

At ESPN, Ben Goessling looks at how much the Vikings’ O-line will improve.

From Vikings.com, Craig Peters looks at the Vikings’ first Monday Night Football game, Wobby looks at our rivals in the NFC North & how the Vikes stack up against them.

Around the rest of the NFL:

From NFL.com, Demaryius Thomas thinks he has a couple good years left.

Tom Brady is going to offer his methods for success in his new book, story from Fox Sports.

Rashad Jennings expects to find a team in the next two months, per The Sporting News. That’s........probably a pretty good idea since the season will be starting in two months. You usually have more success if you’re actually on a team, I’d think.

We come to our media selection.

When you can’t think of something, just go with an all-time great.

We all know the rules, but in case someone is new:

-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-This isn't a male version of The View, so leave the gender hatred at the door
-Keep vulgar language to a minimum, using spoiler tags if you must
-No pictures that could get someone fired or in serious trouble with their employer
-If you can't disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it's sarcasm

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don't forget to tip your waitress, & try the pickled pigs feet.
