With the first practice of their 2017 Training Camp underway at Winter Park, the Minnesota Vikings have announced that a couple of their players have been placed on the Physically Unable to Perform list.
The team has put running back Latavius Murray and linebacker Shaan Washington on the PUP List, per the team’s official website.
Murray had surgery on his ankle not long after signing his three-year contract with the Vikings. He said when he reported to camp that his ankle was feeling better, but it apparently is not good enough for him to be partaking in practice at this point.
I am not completely sure what the nature of Washington’s injury is, other than notes on social media that he had a “leg issue” during spring practices, but the undrafted free agent from Texas A&M will be sitting things out for a while.
Those are the two players that the Vikings placed on the PUP List at the start of camp. All other players that have reported (with one exception that we’ll address in a separate post) are on the field in Mankato and starting their preparations for 2017.
