Around the DN since our last open thread:

Arif posted Norse Code Podcast 187: Bank Accounts and the Holy Ghost.

Chris digs into number 38 in Minnesota Vikings By The Numbers. This number makes me think of the number 12, for some reason......and makes me want to drink......heavily.

They had a bit of a scuffle at training camp, per Chris. Good to see a little fire in the guys, let’s just hope there are no injuries.

From Vikings.com, Mike Zimmer spoke with the media yesterday, there are highlights from yesterday’s practice, and a lot of other videos in the media vault.

At the Strib, Bishop Sankey is Cook’s main (only) competition at RB, and Morgan should expect more snaps at TE this year.

Around the rest of the NFL:

From the Sporting News, the NFL is willing to work with the NFLPA to study the use of medical marijuana for players. I’m surprised by this, the NFL has been very resistant to considering this option. They’d rather players choose safer options, like taking strong opiates and rubbing some dirt on it so they can get back out there.

Roger Goodell doesn’t believe that any teams tank a season, per NFL.com. This doesn’t happen very often, but I agree with Goodell.......just this one time though.

We come to our media selection.

My son & I watched this last night, he was laughing, really got a kick out of it. It would end & he’d tell me “turn on that crazy man again”. So, let’s watch “that crazy man”, John Randle, who is on my list of all-time favorite players. Little guys rule, enjoy!
