Wednesday Open Thread: August 16, 2017

Merry Wednesday, everyone!

We’re halfway through the work week, which means we’re halfway to Friday, which means we’re halfway to........VIKINGS FOOTBALL!!!!!!!!! I’m looking forward to seeing some improvement in the performance of our O-line, as their last performance was........sub-par.

Tom Pelissoro reported that he feels there’s more optimism than ever around the team concerning Teddy Bridgewater’s return, per Chris. This warms my heart, I’m rooting for this kid.

Chris continued Minnesota Vikings by the numbers, as he posted number 23.

Chris shared the Football Outsiders report that states that they think the Viking’s offensive line will improve in 2017. There’s really no direction to go but up.

From Vikings.com, Craig Peters reports that Laquon Treadwell spent his offseason learning to be a ‘true receiver’. I have high hopes for Treadwell this year, I hope he lights it up on the field. From the Sporting News, Jaylon Smith will make his NFL debut on Saturday, when the Cowboys take on the Colts. Best of luck to him, many thought he’d never play again.

From NFL.com, Ezekiel Elliot filed his notice of appeal to his suspension. The appeal is judged by the same guy who just launched a year-plus investigation into the matter, so now he has 10 days to schedule an appeal hearing to see if he thinks he got it wrong, which will likely be his decision. The 400-ish days just wasn’t quite enough to consider everything. What a clown show.
