Happy Wednesday, everyone!

After a day off for the players yesterday, they get back to work today with a walk through this morning, and they practice in full pads again this afternoon. I just hope for no injuries, let’s try to avoid those as much as possible this year.

Around the DN since our last open thread:

Chris is down to number 37 in Minnesota Vikings by the Numbers. Remember, the closer we get to zero, the closer we get to meaningful football.

The Stock Market Report is back! Ted looks at, and breaks down, this year's Vikings training camp.

Vikings news from other sources:

Matthew Coller at 1500ESPN gives us his list of what to watch for at Vikings training camp.

Vikings.com has Andrew Sendejo highlights and an interview, Wobby and Neil Reynolds discuss the Vikings-Browns upcoming matchup in London, and Everson Griffen was wired for sound at the last practice. In the news, sod is being installed at TCO Performance Center.

Sports Illustrated says that Vikings rookie Dalvin Cook is for real. That’ll be news to those of you who thought he was fake.

From the Strib, Vikings CBs are playing a lot more press coverage (thank God) than they had in the past, but the new CBA is preventing them from working on their technique in training camp.

Around the rest of the NFL:

ESPN has the top stories from all of yesterday’s training camps.

Fox Sports speculates whether Jason Witten will make it into the Hall Of Fame.

From CBS Sports, Andrew Luck is expected to be activated from the PUP prior to week one, but uncertainty remains whether he’ll be ready to play in the opener.

We come to our media selection.

Hey, how ‘bout a hype video for the upcoming season?

We all know the rules, but in case someone is new:

-No discussion of politics or religion

-No feeding of the trolls

-This isn't a male version of The View, so leave the gender hatred at the door

-Keep vulgar language to a minimum, using spoiler tags if you must

-No pictures that could get someone fired or in serious trouble with their employer

-If you can't disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away

-While navigating the open thread, just assume it's sarcasm

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don't forget to tip your waitress, & try the liver & onions.
