Here are the ground rules for the Game Threads:

-Thou shalt not link illegal feeds of today's game, or I shall kick thy arse to the curb until the game is over. Do not promote then, do not mention them, do not even hint at them. Thou hast been warned.

-Thou shalt make an attempt to keep the swearing to a minimum. Understandable that it will slip occasionally, but do try to limit it. If you really feel the need to curse, use the spoiler tags to keep it covered up. We'll get the sentiment.

-Thou shalt not feed the trolls. Rather, thou shall simply point them out, and they shall be banished to the fires of Mordor. Or Wisconsin. Whichever we feel is more harsh at the time.

-Thou shalt not engage in racist, sexist, or other such insulting rhetoric. Somebody disagreeing with you does not make them racist or sexist. It means they disagree with you. Talk it out like adults.

-Thou shalt not bait the fans of other teams into trolling.

-Basically, thou shalt not be a jackwagon in the game thread.

So, this is going to be an abbreviated look at this one because a) there isn't going to be a lot of excitement in this one and b) I almost completely forgot to do this for tonight's game. But, the preseason does wrap up tonight, as your Minnesota Vikings will host the Miami Dolphins at U.S. Bank Stadium in the final preseason game and the last chance for some players to impress their respective coaching staffs (and other NFL teams) before Saturday's cutdown day.

What are we looking for tonight?

1) No significant injuries - Yep, still the most important thing.

2) Will Mike Zimmer play the Vikings' starters? - This is sort of connected to the first one. Zimmer has said that the starters should play, given the way they looked last week against San Francisco last week. However, with the start of the regular season a week and a half away, I'd be surprised if Zimmer actually went ahead and did that. The last thing this team needs is for someone important to get hurt.

3) Who will make a last impression? - There probably aren't a lot of spots on this team that are up for grabs, but this is going to be an opportunity for players to avoid a potential confrontation with "The Turk" on Saturday when the final cuts are made. With all 90 players still on the Vikings roster, we'll need to keep an eye on how the coaching staff handles player rotations and things of that nature this evening.

We're just about half an hour away from kickoff at U.S. Bank Stadium, folks. After tonight, the next stop is Monday Night Football on 11 September against New Orleans. Let's get it over with and hope for a healthy game for both sides.

SKOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL VIKINGS!!!!
