Minnesota Vikings Waive Will Sutton

He’s the first real veteran among the team’s releases

As the roster cuts continue coming in for the Minnesota Vikings, we have one of the more recognizable names to come down the pike thus far.

Andrew Krammer of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune is reporting that the team will waive defensive tackle Will Sutton.

Sutton, a third round pick of the Chicago Bears in the 2014 NFL Draft, spent his first three years with the Bears before they released him. He signed with the Vikings this offseason and had an opportunity to compete for snaps at the defensive tackle position, but it doesn’t appear that he managed to make enough of an impression to move up the depth chart.

We will continue tracking all of the Vikings’ roster moves in our Roster Cut Tracker, so be sure to keep that page bookmarked and keep refreshing so you can keep up with all the latest from Winter Park. There are still plenty of moves to be made before Saturday’s 3:00 PM Central deadline.
