According to Ben Goessling of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune, the team has waived cornerback Sam Brown.
Brown was an undrafted free agent from Missouri Western who was signed by the Vikings on the first day of Training Camp. Brown got beaten for a couple of long touchdowns this preseason, and that didn’t help his chances in what was going to be an uphill climb for him to make the roster. It sounds like he could potentially be brought back as a practice squad candidate, but we’ll have to see how that shakes out.
There are plenty more roster moves coming for the Vikings as we get closer to the deadline on Saturday, and we will be keeping track of all of them on our Roster Cut Tracker. We will get the news up and available for your consumption as soon as we receive it, so keep it right here to keep yourself updated!
