NFL Week 1 Open Thread

We don’t have the Vikings yet, but there’s still plenty of football action

Even though the first game of the 2017 NFL regular season was on Thursday night, the real start of the season is today as the league gives us a nearly full slate of games for our viewing pleasure.

Obviously, we won’t be watching the Minnesota Vikings today, as they don’t play until Monday night against the New Orleans Saints. That means that, for the first time this year, we have the second-best thing. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, it’s a RED ZONE SUNDAY for Vikings fans everywhere, as we get to take advantage of one of the greatest inventions in television history.

The NFC East Game of the Week Sunday Night Football will be on NBC at 7:30 PM Central time, and will see the Dallas Cowboys playing host to the New York Giants.

Football is finally, well and truly, back for the 2017 season, folks. If our team isn’t playing, we can still kick back and enjoy all the action. We’re less than half an hour from kickoff, folks, so enjoy your first NFL Sunday of this season.
