Merry post-win Tuesday, everyone!
Only one word can sum it up: WHOOOOOOOOOO!
Tell ‘em, Nature Boy!!!!!!
Honestly, this is as well as even I expected this game to go. The O line looked nothing like the unit we saw early in the preseason and much better than whatever we saw last season. And the offense.......holy hell, the offense. It started with the O line, then the running game came alive (Dalvin Cook, I like you. I like you a lot, in a totally platonic way, of course, but I like you, man.) Sam friggin’ Bradford, you animal. I loved watching this game, it was more fun than I’ve had watching our offense move the ball. This offense looked really good last night.........on prime time.
The defense looked like we thought they’d look this year: tough as nails. The Saints* offense is no joke, but the Vikes D held them in check and harassed Brees all night. It was friggin lovely. I loved it. It made me giddy. Heck, I’m still giddy.
Take it in, enjoy it, savor the moment. Don’t fall for the “yeah, but” crap today, enjoy this victory. Enjoy watching our favorite buys beat one of our most hated rivals, and beat them handily. I love this team, I love Mike Zimmer, THIS will be a fun year.

Around the DN since our last open thread:
Chris has your post-game wrap-up.
Ted posted the Stock Market Report from last night's game.
Not seeing much else right now, & I’m going to go to bed. I’m celebrating a little here, and the game was icing on the cake. I love these days.
Enjoy the hangovers, brethren. As Ted would say “be a man, embrace the suck”.
Vikings news from other sources:
From Vikings.com, here’s Mike Zimmer’s post-game press conference, some words from Sam Bradford (HOO-AHHHH!!!!!!), and a ton more. Look for yourself, I’m celebrating.
Let’s get one more in there:
News from around the rest of the NFL.
The Buccaneers are donating $1 million to Hurricane Irma relief efforts, kudos to the Bucs, per NFL.com. Class move. I’m sure they’ll be doing a lot behind the scenes that we’ll never hear about, it’s good to remember that.
And, one more time
We come to our media selection.
Well, it's a tradition after a win, so FIRE UP THE BAND!
We all know the rules, but in case someone is new:
-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-This isn't a male version of The View, so leave the gender hatred at the door
-Keep vulgar language to a minimum, using spoiler tags if you must
-No pictures that could get someone fired or in serious trouble with their employer
-If you can't disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it's sarcasm
With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don't forget to tip your waitress, & try the blood sausage.
