We are ninety minutes away from kickoff at Heinz Field for Week 2 action between the Minnesota Vikings and the Pittsburgh Steelers, and both teams have released their inactive lists for this week’s contest. Let’s go through them now, starting with the visiting team.
Minnesota Vikings
- WR Rodney Adams
- QB Sam Bradford
- DE Tashawn Bower
- CB Tramaine Brock
- OT Aviante Collins
- G Danny Isidora
- DT Jaleel Johnson
Yes, Bradford will be sitting this one out for the Vikings. The team will start Case Keenum at quarterback, and Kyle Sloter will serve as his backup. It’s not an ideal situation, but the Vikings obviously feel that discretion is the better part of valor in this case. Hopefully the extra week will give Bradford’s knee the time it needs to heal up a bit more solidly.
On the bright side, linebacker Anthony Barr and cornerback Xavier Rhodes, both of whom were listed on the injury report as “Questionable,” are active for the Vikings this afternoon.
And now for the home team.
Pittsburgh Steelers
- QB Josh Dobbs
- G Matt Feiler
- OT Jerald Hawkins
- WR Justin Hunter
- TE Vance McDonald
- DE Stephon Tuitt
- S J.J. Wilcox
No real surprises here, as McDonald, Tuitt, and Wilcox were all listed as “Questionable” for the Steelers in this one and Hawkins had already been ruled out. Linebacker Bud Dupree is active for Pittsburgh, making his season debut today.
That’s a complete look at the inactive lists for this week’s game, ladies and gentlemen. We will have the Open Thread for the first quarter up and running at 11:00 AM Central.
