On Friday, the Minnesota Vikings made a trade for a cornerback to bolster their depth chart. That meant that there would be fewer opportunities for other corners to make the team, and they’ve just announced the waiving of another one.
The #Vikings will release CB Horace Richardson. They want him, though, for the practice squad.

According to Chris Tomasson of the St. Paul Pioneer Press, the Vikings have waived cornerback Horace Richardson.
Richardson, a cornerback out of Southern Methodist, was the first undrafted free agent that the Vikings signed in the post-draft frenzy. He showed well enough in the preseason and in camps where the team is interested in bringing him back to the practice squad, but there is still plenty of time for those moves to be determined.
