Minnesota Vikings Waive Willie Beavers

Another offensive lineman is shown the door

For the second season in a row, the Minnesota Vikings final cuts have been very hard on the Beavers.

Per Darren Wolfson of KSTP in the Twin Cities, the Vikings are waiving offensive lineman Willie Beavers.

Beavers, a fourth-round pick of the Vikings in the 2016 NFL Draft, was waived by the team in last year’s final cuts as well, but was signed to the practice squad. He was the highest draft pick from 2016 that did not make his team’s initial roster. He did make it up to the active roster last season, and saw action in several games due to the rash of injuries that the Vikings suffered on the offensive line.
