The Minnesota Vikings announced a short while ago that they have signed safety Jack Tocho to the practice squad.
Tocho, a 7th round pick from North Carolina State, was a bit of surprise cut when the Vikings trimmed their roster from 90 to 53 players, but when QB Kyle Sloter was promoted to the 53 man roster, a spot on the practice squad opened.
Tocho had six tackles and a fumble recovery in four pre-season games, and generally impressed for a 7th round pick. Although he didn’t make the final 53, there were a fair amount of fans who thought he might be re-signed to the practice squad when he was initially released.
With the signing of Tocho, the Vikings now have a full complement of 10 players on the practice squad.
