Happy, happy, post-win Monday, y'all!
It wasn't just a win, it was a dominating win in a game where many were expecting the opposite, as the good guys rolled out their backup QB, who lit up the defense like a cheap cigar. I'm a pretty optimistic guy, but even I didn't expect Keenum to pull off THAT kind of performance. I can't wait until they replay that game.
Another shockingly pleasant surprise has been our O line. Heading into the season, I'm guessing a large majority of fans would have listed O line as our biggest weakness, and our completely revamped O line has come out of the gates strong. They've opened up holes for the running game (sure is nice to have one of those again, isn't it?), and given the quarterbacks a pocket to throw from, and plenty of time and room to throw it.
Some of us predicted that Shurmur being able to completely implement his system would be more friendly to the line, but I don't think ANYBODY expected the line to look this good. I would have been pleased with an improvement from worst in the league to 25th or so & happy with an improvement to 20th or so. So far this year, I'm far beyond happy with our line, and just as happy with our offense overall.
Let's not forget the defense, they're still the heart of this team, and continue to dominate. If the offense can play at or near where they're playing now, this could be one fun year to be a Vikings fan, I'm looking forward to watching every second of it.
The links & such are going to be brief today. Sorry, I'm insanely busy again. Hopefully I can get a chance to join in the festivities down in the comments a little later. SKOL!

We come to our media selection:
I love traditions, and one of my favorites at the DN is playing the official Vikings fight song after a win. Fire up the band!
We all know the rules, but in case someone is new:
-No discussion of politics or religion

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don't forget to tip your waitress, & try the liver and onions.
