Merry Tuesday, everyone!
We’re another day closer to seeing the good guys in action again, I can’t wait. It’s hard to focus on trivial things like work when there are important events like Vikings football games to focus on.
Around the DN since our last open thread:
Chris shared the magnificent news that Teddy Bridgewater will be ready to play when he comes off the PUP list. This news makes my day, I’m rooting hard for this kid & I’m looking forward to seeing leading the team again soon. This obviously throws a moderate sized monkey wrench into our QB situation, but I’ll take it.
Eric looks at some of the game changing plays from Sunday’s Vikings-Buccaneers game.
Ted has an amazing statistic to share with you, you should check this out because it’s pretty mind blowing, and also pretty impressive. I’m a huge fan of Coach Zimmer & I have a lot of respect for the guy, this only improves my opinion of him.
Esera Tualo is going to be appearing on The
Noise Voice on Monday night. This is apparently one of those Gong Show TV shows that everyone watches. He must have to eat a bucket of night crawlers or something, maybe he can win some money.
Vikings news from other sources:
Mike Zimmer answered a question that some were asking, as he said that Sam Bradford will be starting when he’s ready to play. I’m guessing Keenum’s performance on Sunday will allow the coach to sleep a little better until Bradford is ready.
Vikings.com’s Eric Smith has an early look at the Vikings vs. Lions. In the media vault, check out Mike Zimmer’s press conference from yesterday, the Good Morning Football crew notes that Xavier Rhodes is a bad man, and there’s a lot more for your viewing pleasure.
News from around the rest of the league:
We come to our media selection.
Here’s one for those folks who complain incessantly. I had a couple others picked out, but they weren’t appropriate for the thread.
We all know the rules, but in case someone is new:
-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-This isn't a male version of The View, so leave the gender hatred at the door
-Keep vulgar language to a minimum, using spoiler tags if you must
-No pictures that could get someone fired or in serious trouble with their employer
-If you can't disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it's sarcasm
With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don't forget to tip your waitress, & try the liver and onions.
