Wednesday Open Thread: September 27, 2017

Happy Wednesday, everyone!

We're gearing up for our favorite team's first divisional matchup of the year, as they prepare to take on the Lions at home on Sunday. It's another noon game (Yay!), and as you know, the team is coming off of a VERY strong showing against the Buccaneers last week. I really hope this Shurmur offense is the real deal. There's no reason to think it isn't, but as Vikings fans, we learn to be cautious about our optimism.

Okay, so I haven't been around a whole lot to moderate. Sorry about that, but I'm busy and that isn't going to change anytime soon, although I should be able to drop in a little more often in the near future. I've made it a point to avoid the entire National Anthem issue up here in the words that don't exist, and in the stories, and I will continue to avoid it. The simple reason for that being I know where it will lead, and looking back at the past couple days' comments, I'm not wrong. So, I'm going to ask you to avoid bringing it up in the comments. No good will come of it, so don't talk about it, don't refer to it, don't hint about it. Verstehen? Bueno. This is going to seem crazy, but I come to this football blog to talk about..........football (also, grilling, smoker recipes, beer, and how to get my 3 year old down for a nap. That's all I got to say about that).
