Week 4 in the National Football League features two all-NFC North matchups. On Thursday night, the Chicago Bears and the Green Bay Packers will get together. When Sunday comes around, however, we get the main event between the Detroit Lions and your Minnesota Vikings.
We both know what happened between these two teams last season. Both times the Vikings were in a position to at least potentially win late, and one mistake opened the door for a Lions’ win both times. At home, the Vikings allowed the Lions to drive themselves into position for a late field goal with less than 30 seconds remaining and eventually lost in overtime. At Detroit on Thanksgiving, Sam Bradford was intercepted late by Darius Slay, setting up another field goal and another Vikings’ loss.
These two teams come into this game with 2-1 records. The Vikings are coming off of a convincing win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, while the Lions lost to the Atlanta Falcons in a game that had a very controversial ending. Can the Vikings exact some revenge on their division rivals for last year’s losses?
