Happy Thirsty Thorsday, everyone!

It stinks having to wait until Monday for REAL football, but there’ll at least be some regular season games to get the weekend kicked off right. Well, actually, they start tonight! Yep, it’s week one’s Thursday kickoff as the Patriots and Bilichick’s coattails take on the Chiefs in Foxboro. It could be a pretty good game, but I could see the Patriots running away with this one at home. We’ll see.......shortly.

Around the DN since our last open thread.

Chris winds up Minnesota Vikings by the Numbers and looks at #1.

Chris takes a Brief Look at Saints/Vikings history. I still hate ‘em.

Vikings news from elsewhere:

From the Pioneer Press, Latavius Murray says Dalvin Cook ‘earned a starting spot’.

From the media vault at Vikings.com, Sam Bradford talks a little about the upcoming game, Wobby opened the Pick 6 Mailbag, and lots more.

News from around the rest of the league:

Browns’ first round pick Myles Garrett suffered an ankle injury, and landed on the first injury report of the season, per NFL.com. Garrett will undergo an MRI.

We all know the rules, but in case someone is new:

-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-This isn't a male version of The View, so leave the gender hatred at the door
-Keep vulgar language to a minimum, using spoiler tags if you must
-No pictures that could get someone fired or in serious trouble with their employer\

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don't forget to tip your waitress, & try the knoephla soup.
