Happy Wednesday, everyone!

We’re to the half-way point in what is going to be a VERY long week of waiting. I’m ready for Sunday. Hey, this may be a bit short today, I’m tired. I’ll get on in the morning as soon as I get time & add more links.

Around the DN since our last open thread:

Join Chris in watching the Vikings score touchdowns for an hour.

Chris says virtual reality helped make Case Keenum good.

The Vikings did some shuffling with the practice squad, and placed Dylan Bradley on IR.

Ted posted Roughing the Podcast 44: It’s Playoff Time.

Arif and James present a special Norse Code, featuring the 2009 NFC Championship Game.

Vikings news from other sources:

Everson Griffen vows that the team will continue to ‘shock the world’ on Sunday, from the Pioneer Press.

At Vikings.com, Pete Bercich breaks down some Saints game film in anticipation of Sunday’s game, and there’s tons more to sift through in the media vault, including lots of predictions for Sunday.

News from around the rest of the NFL:

CBS Sports has a coaching tracker with all the latest NFL coaching moves.

Ken Wisenhunt and Gus Bradley will be back with the Chargers, per The Sporting News.

New Bears HC Matt Nagy said Trubinsky is definitely ‘part of the deal’ in becoming HC, per NFL.com.

From Yahoo Sports, the Panthers are cleaning house after their wild card round playoff loss, they fired OC Mike Shula and QB Coach Ken Dorsey, per Yahoo Sports.

We come today’s media selection.

Here’s one of my favorite current singers, Robert Earl Keen, singing Dreadful Selfish Crime.

Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:

-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-This isn’t a male version of The View, so leave the gender hatred at the door
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could get someone fired or in serious trouble with their employer
-If you can’t disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it’s sarcasm

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don’t forget to tip your waitress, & try the head cheese
