With kickoff of the NFC Divisional Playoffs just a few days away, things are starting to get ramped up in the Twin Cities area in anticipation for the Minnesota Vikings hosting their first Divisional Round game since 2009. If you find yourself out and about in Minneapolis and St. Paul this weekend, you’re going to see plenty of purple, and not just on the people walking around.
According the Vikings’ Executive Communications Director Jeff Anderson, there will be plenty of venues around the Twin Cities that will be lit up in that finest of colors this weekend.
Following landmarks will be display purple lighting beginning Friday night:

Mall of America
Nicollet Mall

I’m not sure if that’s a comprehensive list of all of the venues that will be showing their purple starting on Friday. I hope it isn’t, because it seems kind of short. Then again, there aren’t many places that can just say, “Hey, let’s turn our lights purple,” so we’ll take what we can get.
If you see any other venues in the Twin Cities that are lit up in purple this weekend, feel free to share the pictures with us either here on the site or on the Twitter machine or somewhere else. We’d love to see them!
