In preparation for this weekend’s Divisional Playoff contest at U.S. Bank Stadium, both the Minnesota Vikings and the New Orleans Saints have released their final injury reports. Let’s take a look at those for both of these teams, starting with the visitors.

There aren’t a whole lot of major names on the injury report for the Saints. Former Vikings’ linebacker Michael Mauti could be a bit of an issue, given that the Saints already have depth issues at linebacker. I’m not sure what the nature of the illness that kept him out of practice is. Other than Mauti, most of the Saints seem to have a fairly clean bill of health.

And now, we move on to the home team.

Yes, the only member of the Vikings that’s listed as “questionable” for this one is cornerback Terence Newman. As you can see from the injury report, Newman was limited in practice on Wednesday and Friday, while missing practice completely on Thursday. This would be a pretty scary proposition if not for the development of Trae Waynes and Mackensie Alexander over the second half of the season. Still, it’s not entirely ideal, but we’ll have to see how he fares over the weekend. Other than that, every member of the Vikings was a full participant in today’s final practice before Sunday’s game.

That’s a look at the injury reports for both the New Orleans Saints and the Minnesota Vikings going into this weekend’s game, folks. We’ll have plenty more on this one as we get closer to kickoff.
