NFC Divisional Playoffs: Atlanta Falcons at Philadelphia Eagles

The first half of the NFC Championship Game will be set in this one

NFL: NFC Wild Card-Atlanta Falcons at Los Angeles Rams Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

Divisional Playoff weekend is set to get underway in about thirty minutes, ladies and gentlemen! The scene for this one will be Lincoln Financial Field, as the Atlanta Falcons migrate north to do battle with the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Eagles had last week off as the top seed in the NFC. They finished the regular season with a mark of 13-3, but looked. . .well, not great on offense over the final two weeks of the season without star quarterback Carson Wentz. But, the Eagles still have a very strong defense and will be looking to defend their turf here.

The Falcons had to make another long trip last week, as they went out to Los Angeles and knocked off the Rams by a final score of 26-13. Matt Ryan had an efficient game in the victory, and the Falcons’ defense forced the Rams into several turnovers to give themselves the victory.

This game will decide who will advance to the NFC Championship Game, and could also determine where it will be played. If the Eagles should advance, they would host the winner of Sunday’s game between the New Orleans Saints and the Minnesota Vikings. If the Falcons win, then they will travel to take on whoever wins Sunday’s contest, as they will be the lowest seed going into that game.

Kickoff from the City of Brotherly Love is set to go down in approximately half an hour, folks. If you’re going to be watching the game, why not hang out here and watch with your fellow Vikings’ fans? We’ll have a separate thread for tonight’s AFC matchup about half an hour before that one as well.
