We are just under ninety minutes away from kickoff at U.S. Bank Stadium for the final matchup of Divisional Playoff Weekend, as the Minnesota Vikings will play host to the New Orleans Saints. Both teams have released their inactive lists for this week’s contest, so let’s take a look at who will be sitting this one out for both sides.
As always, we will start with the visiting team.
New Orleans Saints
- WR Brandon Coleman
- DE Kasim Edebali
- OT Bryce Harris
- DE Al-Quadin Muhammad
- C Cameron Tom
- TE John Phillips
- RB Jonathan Williams
Coleman was the only player the Saints had ruled out prior to this one. Their two players that had been listed as “questionable,” quarterback Taysom Hill and linebacker Michael Mauti, are both active for the Saints this afternoon.
And now, we move on to the home team.
Minnesota Vikings
- DE Tashawn Bower
- QB Teddy Bridgewater
- RB Mack Brown
- WR Stacy Coley
- C Cornelius Edison
- G Danny Isidora
- QB Kyle Sloter
As was speculated earlier, Teddy Bridgewater and Kyle Sloter are both inactive for this one, as Sam Bradford will serve as Case Keenum’s primary backup for this afternoon’s contest. No other huge surprises across the rest of the inactive list for the Vikings. Terence Newman, the lone Viking that was listed as questionable on the injury report on Friday, is active for this one.
The Vikings will start a different configuration on the offensive line today, as Mike Remmers will move over to left guard this afternoon. That means the starting offensive line for today is:
- LT Riley Reiff
- LG Mike Remmers
- C Pat Elflein
- RG Joe Berger
- RT Rashod Hill
Apparently the Vikings like the idea of Hill at right tackle better than the idea of Jeremiah Sirles at left guard.
Those are the inactive lists for both the Minnesota Vikings and the New Orleans Saints leading up to today’s big Divisional Playoff matchup. We will have the Open Thread up and running at approximately 2:30 PM Central time.
