I’m used to those endings, I’m just not used to being on the winning end of them

Happy “post-win that put the good guys in the NFC Championship Game” Monday, everyone!

First, let me say, SKOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!! Stefon Diggs, what a catch & run. I”m guessing 80% of us were yelling at him to get out of bounds.........and then we see no one between him & the goal line. No flags, he didn’t step out of bounds, game over. Awesome to see Diggs crossing the goal line, it couldn’t have been done by a better person.

Well, I can’t say that’s the first time the Vikes have had a crazy finish to a big game, but this is the first one in quite a while that resulted in the good guys on the winning end. The Miracle at the Met comes to mind, but that was in 1980, and 1980 was quite a while ago. It seems like since then, they’ve found ways to lose in dramatic, and demoralizing fashion ‘88, ‘99’, and 2010 are all embedded in our memories, (‘75 too, but I was only one & don’t know if I watched it). It feels a lot better when they win. I hope they’re starting a new tradition by winning these, losing those dramatic finishes tends to sting a while.

I’ll touch on this more in the comments, but I’m still disappointed that the team gave up the commanding lead they’d built in the first half. I’m not sure exactly what the causes are, but hopefully the coaches know how it happened so they can try to avoid it again. The offense sputtered in the second half......badly. They put the D in some bad situations (as did special teams), and the D was getting gassed by the end. I’m glad it turned out how it did, but the ulcers and heart attack weren’t really necessary.

This may be brief, I’ll fill more in when I get time.
