Divisional Round - New Orleans Saints v Minnesota Vikings Photo by Hannah Foslien/Getty Images

Merry Wednesday, everyone!

Hey, we’re inching ever closer to Sunday, and I don’t want to think any further than that right now. I will say that just yesterday Mrs. Fishin’ told me “if the Vikes win Sunday, you can’t not be there for the Super Bowl”. I can’t argue with that one bit. Yes, I know I’m lucky.

Around the DN since our last open thread:

Ted was on the Jimmy B and TC Show.

From Chris, Pat Elflein was named to the All-Rookie Team by Pro Football Writers of America.

Ted recaps the Saints at Vikings game with gifs.

Ted was here with Zim Tzu, who has no use for curses (he has no issue with cursING, just cursES, big difference).

Arif posted Norse Code Podcast Episode 221: Big Balls? Check.

Wludford has a preview of the 2017 NFC Championship Game.

Vikings news from other sources:

From CBS Minnesota, the Vikings have become quite the resilient team under Mike Zimmer.

Okay, this one from Fox 9 is pretty awesome, and I have a new favorite punter, even if he plays for New Orleans. You remember Thomas Morstead playing after suffering a rib injury on the opening kickoff, then, showing true sportsmanship, he was the first one out of the locker room when the Vikes needed to run a final play? Some Vikings fans saw that, and rallied to raise some money for Morstead’s charity, and when Morstead found out who was donating, he posted a video announcing that he would give the money donated by Vikings fans to Children’s Minnesota Child Life Program.

From Vikings.com, Deion has a Thielen that one Vikings WR will have a big day on Sunday, Sean Payton dismisses his douchiness by playing the ‘just kidding’ card (I truly dislike that guy), and there’s lots more to sift through in the media vault.

News from around the rest of the NFL:

Steelers owners (they have real owners, these aren’t Packers ‘owners’) are lobbying Art Rooney to fire Mike Tomlin, per CBS Sports.

From NFL.com, former Giants (Giants players, not actual Giants) explain Coughlin’s unique success against Bilichick.

We come to today’s media selection.

Well, the term keeps getting brought up in regards to Keenum, so let’s here AC/DC sing about it. I’m not sure if this is considered NSFW or not, but it may be to some, so you’re forewarned.

Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:

-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-This isn’t a male version of The View, so leave the gender hatred at the door
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could get someone fired or in serious trouble with their employer
-If you can’t disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it’s sarcasm

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don’t forget to tip your waitress, & try the head cheese
