WATCH: Marcus Mariota does his best Brad Johnson impression

By throwing a touchdown pass to himself

NFL: AFC Wild Card-Tennessee Titans at Kansas City Chiefs Jay Biggerstaff-USA TODAY Sports

Things don’t look to promising for the Tennessee Titans at the present time in their Wild Card playoff contest against the Kansas City Chiefs. The Titans currently trail 21-10 midway through the third quarter, but quarterback Marcus Mariota gave everyone what might be the first memorable moment of this year’s postseason.

Mariota dropped back to pass, and started to scramble to his left after not being able to find anyone. He then. . .well, watch for yourself.

Yes, that will go down as a touchdown pass from Marcus Mariota to Marcus Mariota. I’m not sure if he believed it, either. It looked as though he might have been over the line of scrimmage, but the play was upheld on review.

Of course, the Vikings are the pioneers of quarterbacks throwing touchdown passes to themselves. It didn’t happen in a playoff game, but it still happened.

Man, Johnson had to make some serious moves on his touchdown, didn’t he? Mariota just had to dive for the pylon, but Brad Johnson showed some serious moves there.

But, with the Vikings not playing today, Marcus Mariota gave us a nice little moment and an opportunity to have a bit of a flashback.
