With Everson Griffen still not back with the team, the Minnesota Vikings have brought back a familiar face in case they need to quickly add another defensive end to the fold.
On Monday, the Vikings re-signed defensive end Jonathan Wynn to their practice squad.
Wynn was an undrafted free agent signing out of Vanderbilt this past season, and spent all of Training Camp with the Vikings, being dropped by the team as a part of their final cuts. With the Vikings being so deep at the defensive end spot. . .well, at least early on. . .his making the team was always considered a long shot, but given the current circumstances it’s not surprising that he’s back.
In order to make room for Wynn on the practice squad, the Vikings waived linebacker Garret Dooley.
The Vikings’ practice squad is now comprised of the following players:
- WR Jeff Badet
- WR Chad Beebe
- LB Reshard Cliett
- DT Curtis Cothran
- C Cornelius Edison
- G Colby Gossett
- TE Cole Hikutini
- CB Jalen Myrick
- OT Storm Norton
- DE Jonathan Wynn
