Good morning all! Dave here, along with Ted and Drew with our postgame reaction of the Minnesota Vikings win over the Super Bowl Champions Philadelphia Eagles. In the 23-21 victory, it looks like the team listened to Drew’s pep talk. In this episode:
We discussed some of the clutch play from Captain Kirk Cousins, and receivers Adam Thielen, Stefon Diggs, along with key catches from Kyle Ruldoph. The defense held too, with good play from Stephen Weatherly, Danielle Hunter, and the “Big Goon” Linval Joseph and his 64-yard fumble return. That big belly can move! Speaking of team GMG big bellies, Drew stepped up to and graced us with his written musings on the subject too:
“The Vikings running game was damn near anemic again. No Dalvin Cook which hurts for getting chunk yards on the ground. But Latavius Murray did come up with some timely runs on our final drive. Picked up 77 yards on the ground as a team which was still better than last week. Also, Philly was the #1 run defense in football heading into this game so we did it vs a pretty reputable group.
We bent, but we didn’t break! The defense finally showed some signs of what made them so good last year. And we kept Carson Wentz off his mark for the most of the game with 21 hurries. Most important, we saw life and fire and intensity from the defense for the 1st time in a month. Gang tackling and hustling to footballs and creating our first 2 turnovers in the last 3 games.
Really felt like a game to recharge our batteries and get back into the thick of the division race.”
Like, subscribe, and ring that damn bell! Then shout SKOL!
As always, enjoy the watch!
