We all know what happened the last time the Minnesota Vikings and the New Orleans Saints shared a football field. Yes, we’re going to see the Minneapolis Miracle about a million times this week, but we’re now on to focusing on the regular season matchup between these two teams that will take place on Sunday Night Football at U.S. Bank Stadium.
Both of these teams come into this one riding pretty significant hot streaks. After a 1-2-1 start, the Vikings have reeled off three consecutive victories, including a 37-17 pasting of the New York Jets in Week 7. That has lifted their record to 4-2-1, and from the outhouse in the NFC North clear up to the penthouse.
The Saints are red hot as well. After losing their regular season opener to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Saints have won five games in a row and sit atop the NFC South. The Saints continue to have a very explosive offense, with Drew Brees setting NFL records in the early portion of this season, including becoming the NFL’s all-time passing yardage leader.
This one will be kicking off at 7:20 PM Central time from U.S. Bank Stadium on NBC, and we’ll be tracking all of the news about this one right here for you.
