The National Football League’s trade deadline is set to pass at 3:00 PM Central time today, and while there are some moves that are already being made (such as the Denver Broncos reportedly trading wide receiver Demaryius Thomas to the Houston Texans), it doesn’t sound like we should be expecting any trade news out of Eagan today.
Folks in the know on social media that actually have sources and connections to the Minnesota Vikings don’t seem to be anticipating any moves from Rick Spielman and company before today’s deadline.
For some reason, over the past few days the folks from ESPN have floated a couple of stories centered around the Vikings making a deal for Arizona Cardinals’ cornerback Patrick Peterson, a deal which would likely involve Trae Waynes and draft picks. These appear to be nothing more than speculation, and there certainly doesn’t appear to be anything imminent on that front.
Obviously, if the Vikings do decide to make any sort of trades today, we will have the news of it right here for you as soon as we can get it posted. However, if you’re expecting the Vikings to ship Laquon Treadwell out of town or anything like that before 3:00 PM Central, you’re likely going to be disappointed.
