NFL: New Orleans Saints at Minnesota Vikings Brace Hemmelgarn-USA TODAY Sports

The accolades for Minnesota Vikings Adam Thielen keep rolling in. This time, he has been named Pro Football Focus offensive player of the month.

He caught 34 of 40 targets in October which is the highest rate of any WR in the league. He had a minimum of at least 15 targets for 452 yards and only one fumble. ESPN stats and info states that he is first in the NFL in total receptions with 74, first in total receiving yards with 925, and is fourth in the NFL in touchdowns with six. Thielen has tied Detroit Lions Calvin Johnson’s record of eight straight 100 plus yard games and could own the record this Sunday when the Vikings play the Lions.

Thielen has also been targeted 96 times according to ESPN and has had a touchdown in six of the last seven games. So surpassing Johnson’s record at this pace could be a breeze for Thielen.

This is probably one of many well deserved accomplishments to coming Thielen’s so congrats to him.
