Good morning Horners! We all have made it through another Packers week and witnessed the Vikings once again own the team from the land of cheese in the friendly confines of US Bank Stadium. The crew from Good Morning Gjallarhorn attempted their first live broadcast, on location, from the Stumptown Brewery in Guerneville, CA. There were a few hitches and are giddyup, but we made it through. Always in the first attempt, we set the floor and anything in the future will only be better. It was extremely fun to make and to watch. This is a quickly edited version of that show.
Ted Glover, Drew Bunting, myself, and special guest Manbear Pigg who was hosting the shindig at the brewpub expressed our joy at seeing the Vikings come away with a rather convincing win. We discussed how Aaron Rodgers was pressured and sacked 4 times matching a spicy hot take that Ted made on the previous show. The defense led by stout performances from Linval Joseph and Sheldon Richardson in the middle created havoc not only against the run but also against the pass. Key stops were made with the one by Harrison Smith on a 4th and 1 being the most memorable. Just pure awesomeness!

The defense wasn’t the only story however, it was the offense after the first couple of failed drives that seem to get the ball rolling on the path to success. From that point on we saw a lot of complementary football where the offense fed off the defense and vice a versa. Kirk Cousins had another fantastic game with 342 yards passing and 3 touchdowns. He spread the ball around to his favorite receivers with Adam Thielen topping 100 yards for the ninth game of the season, breaking Randy Moss’s record. Stefon Diggs had a very good game along with Kyle Rudolph probably having his best catching 7 balls for 63 yards. The running game was shaken up a bit and was productive when it needed to be. Coach DeFilippo also mixed up his playcalling throwing in some plays that got Dalvin Cook out in space, along with some jet sweeps so that some of the offense of line woes could be overcome.
