Kirk Cousins nominated for FedEx Air Award for Week 12

He’s got some pretty stiff competition, though

NFL: Green Bay Packers at Minnesota Vikings Brad Rempel-USA TODAY Sports

On Sunday Night Football, Minnesota Vikings’ quarterback Kirk Cousins pretty well had his way with the Green Bay Packers’ defense, and now he’s got an opportunity to be recognized for his performance.

Cousins is one of the three nominees for the FedEx Air Award for Week 12 of this NFL season thanks to his performance on Sunday night. Cousins put together some pretty impressive final numbers against Green Bay, completing 29-of-38 passes for 342 yards and three touchdowns in Minnesota’s 24-17 victory.

He has some pretty stiff competition this week, though, in the form if Indianapolis Colts’ quarterback Andrew Luck and Seattle Seahawks’ quarterback Russell Wilson. Luck completed 30-of-37 passes for 343 yards and three touchdowns as the Colts defeated the Miami Dolphins, 27-24. Meanwhile, Wilson completed 22-of-31 attempts for 339 yards and three touchdowns in the Seahawks’ 30-27 come-from-behind victory over the Carolina Panthers.

If you want to cast your vote for Cousins, you can do so in one of two places. You can either go to NFL.com/FedEx to cast your vote, or you can do so on the Twitter machine by going right here.

The winner of the award for this week will be announced on Thursday afternoon, and the winner will have a $2,000 donation made in their name to the USO.

Congratulations to Kirk Cousins on his nomination for FedEx Air Player of the Week for Week 12, and here’s hoping that he can win this week’s award. Head on over and vote, everybody!
