One of my favorite players of all-time. John Randle is THE MAN

Happy Wednesday, everyone!

We’ve made it to the half-way point of the week. I, for one, am eager for Sunday to get here. Yeah, the team is playing the Patriots in .........New England?, but I feel they’re up to the task. This game may turn out to be a turning point and it could set the tone for the final quarter of this 2018 season. It will be a tough game, no doubt, but I have a good feeling about it. We’ll see, maybe that feeling is just the Dos Equis.

Around the DN since our last open thread:

The Vikings have placed Andrew Sendejo on IR, per Chris. You gotta’ wonder if we’ve seen the last of Sendejo in Minnesota. He’s due $5.45 million next year in the final year of his contract, and with the way Harris has filled in, he could become a cap casualty. Sendejo hasn’t been on the field since the Eagles game on October 7, where he suffered the groin injury that eventually led to yesterday’s move to IR. He also missed a week when he served a one-game suspension for tackling.

Ted was here with the latest Zim-Tzu, who refuses to pack it in.

Breaking T has brand new designs on their very unique T-shirts.

Kirk Cousins has been nominated for the FedEx Air Award for week 12, which should come as no surprise. He was lights-out on Sunday.

Chris has the Minnesota Vikings Power Rankings Roundup for Week 12.

Vikings news from other sources and news from around the rest of the NFL:

At Vikings.com, catch a Vikings-Patriots preview from NFL.com, see why John Randle is one of my all-time favorite Vikings (I’d love to have a cold one with that guy), and there’s lots more to dig through in the media vault.

ESPN ranked the job security of every NFL coach.

Though the Redskins claimed Reuben Foster off waivers, they were not the team who contacted the police department who had arrested him on Saturday. That latest arrest was what led to his release from the 49ers, but it was the Eagles who were the only teamto talk to the police department who had arrested Foster (this time).

We come to today’s media selection:

I’ve played this quite a few times, but I’m playing it again because a) it features John Randle and I @#$%ing love John Randle, and b) it’s one of my kid’s favorite videos. Enjoy!

Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:

  • No feeding of the trolls
  • This isn’t a male version of The View, so leave the gender hatred at the door
  • Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)
  • Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
  • No pictures that could get someone fired or in serious trouble with their employer
  • If you can’t disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
  • While navigating the open thread, just assume it’s sarcasm

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up and tie one on. Don’t forget to tip your waitress, and try the grilled cheese
