There are just two weeks remaining in the 2018 NFL regular season, folks. . .man, did that fly by quickly. . .and your Minnesota Vikings will be playing their final road game of 2018 as they head to Ford Field to take on their division rivals, the Detroit Lions.
These two teams met back in Week 9, and the Vikings’ defense put on a show in front of the crowd at U.S. Bank Stadium. They set a franchise record by sacking Matthew Stafford ten times, including 3.5 for Danielle Hunter, who brought home Defensive Player of the Week honors for his performance. They held the Lions to just three field goals en route to a 24-9 victory just before the bye week.
The Vikings could wrap up a playoff berth this week with a victory over the Lions and some help from the Tennessee Titans (who are playing the Washington Redskins on Saturday) and the Houston Texans (who take on the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday). Wins by Minnesota, Tennessee, and Houston would ensure the purple a trip to the NFC playoffs as a wild card.
This game will be on FOX affiliates throughout the country, with kickoff at noon Central time on Sunday. Chris Myers and Daryl Johnston will be in the booth calling the action from Ford Field.
