No other changes to the report

On Thursday, the Minnesota Vikings released their second injury report of the week as they prepare to battle the Detroit Lions on Sunday afternoon at Ford Field. There is only one change from the report that they released on Wednesday, but it’s a pretty darn significant one.

Defensive tackle Linval Joseph sat out of Thursday’s practice with a knee injury. He was added to the report today after not being listed on Wednesday’s report. There was no word on social media or through any of the regular outlets that he had injured his knee in any way during Wednesday’s practice session, and Defensive Coordinator George Edwards did not mention anything about Joseph at today’s post-practice Q&A session with the Twin Cities media.

Joseph has missed one game this season, as he sat out of Minnesota’s 37-17 victory over the New York Jets back in Week 7. Hopefully more word will be forthcoming on the nature of the injury, and we’ll see whether or not he practices on Friday.

The rest of the Vikings’ injury report remains unchanged, so here’s the rundown:

Did Not Participate: DT Linval Joseph (knee), LB Eric Kendricks (hamstring)

Limited Participation: WR Chad Beebe (hamstring), TE David Morgan (knee), G Mike Remmers (low back)

Full Participation: LS Kevin McDermott (elbow)

The final injury report will be out tomorrow afternoon, and with the news about Linval Joseph, Vikings fans will be quite anxious to see what that report has to say.
