As I neglected to get to it earlier in the week, let’s take a look at the most recent Minnesota Vikings FanPulse polling before we kick things off against the Detroit Lions.
As you’d expect, the big performance from the Vikings in their 41-17 victory over the Miami Dolphins on Sunday gave fans quite the significant boost in their level of confidence.

In this week’s polling, 54% of Vikings’ fans said that they were confident in the direction of the team. That’s up significantly from a season low of 17% going into the Dolphins’ game.
One has to wonder how much of an effect the firing of John DeFilippo and the promotion of Kevin Stefanski would have had on the previous week’s numbers had it happened earlier. Last week’s polling took place too late to account for the change at offensive coordinator, but I think that it might have been a little bit higher had fans been able to use that as part of their thought process.
Fans of the Vikings are expecting a fairly comfortable win this afternoon against Detroit, as the average shows a prediction of an eight-point victory today at Ford Field. Hopefully that will hold true and we will see that number continue to trend upwards.
