Daily Norseman On The Bear Front Podcast

Previewing Sunday’s pivotal game with a Chicago-based podcast.

Sunday’s game between the Minnesota Vikings and Chicago Bears at U.S. Bank Stadium could have a ton of different playoff implications depending on how it plays out. The game itself could play out very differently depending on how other games go that afternoon. We know that the Vikings and their fans have already donned a “win or in” mentality, but how should the Bears and their fans approach the game?

To sort everything out, I joined Stephen Johnson of of The Bear Front Podcast on ChiCitySports.com. We discussed how the Vikings’ roller coaster of a season got us where we are this week, how the Vikings and Bears might look different compared to their Week 10 matchup, and how Minnesota’s offense is hoping to improve against Chicago’s extremely tough defense. From there we talked about the different scenarios of how Matt Nagy and the Bears might approach the game if the game in Los Angeles gets out of hand early. Do the Bears sit their key players to rest up for a rematch in Chicago, or do they try to put their division rivals away in the regular season? Then we talked about how well the Vikings defense has been playing for the past couple months and what changes they’ll need to make to better contain Mitchell Trubisky and the Bears offense on Sunday. Finally, I provided a prediction of how I think Sunday’s game will go, given with admittedly tepid confidence.

You can listen to the entire podcast here. My segment with Stephen starts at the 16:15 mark, but if you want to get a great perspective of how Bears fans are thinking heading into the game, I’d recommend listening to the entire show.
