NFL Week 17 Early Game Discussion

Something to do while we wait for the games that matter

NFL: Houston Texans at New York Jets Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

It’s the final day of the 2018 NFL regular season, folks. Yes, it seems like just yesterday we were in this place waiting for our Minnesota Vikings to line up against the San Francisco 49ers in the regular season opener, but everything for the purple has come down to today.

So, the league has decided to make us and a bunch of other fans wait to watch NFL games that actually matter starting at 3:25 PM Central time. But, that doesn’t mean there still aren’t a bunch of games on for people to enjoy, whether it’s just because you’re a fan of football or if it’s for fantasy football purposes.

(By the way, if you’re in a fantasy football league where Week 17 actually matters, find you a new Commissioner next season.)

There are seven games on the early slate for today, none of which have any sort of impact on the NFL’s postseason picture at all. They could potentially impact draft order, but that’s about as far as it will go for the early games. With that, here’s the full list of noon Central NFL kickoffs. If you’re wondering which games are being shown in your area, in case you’re not watching the Red Zone Channel, here are the maps from 506 Sports.

Early Games on CBS

Early Games on FOX

That’s all of them, folks. We’ll have the inactives for the only game today that matters approximately 90 minutes before kickoff, with our Open Thread for the first quarter coming out at around 2:30 PM Central.

Enjoy the early games, ladies and gentlemen!
