On Monday night, the Minnesota Vikings will face their second straight difficult road test against the Seattle Seahawks. To say that this game is important for both teams is an understatement; Monday’s contest could ultimately decide the postseason fate for both teams.
As it currently stands, Seattle is the #5 seed and Minnesota is the #6 seed in the playoff race. A win for either team greatly increases their postseason odds while a loss puts them in danger of missing out altogether. The Seahawks can do no better than their current playoff position, as the Los Angeles Rams have already clinched the NFC West. The Vikings can still catch the Chicago Bears in the NFC North, but they’ll have to play much more consistent football down the stretch if they want to make the playoffs at all.
This gigantic matchup kicks off at 7:15 PM on Monday night at CenturyLink Field. ESPN’s Monday Night Football crew of Joe Tessitore, Jason Witten, Booger McFarland, and Lisa Salters will be covering the action.
