Thorsday Open Thread: February 1, 2017

Happy Thirsty Thorsday, everyone!

The links section may be a bit anemic until I get some time to fill it in a bit. If you wore your hip waders, you can venture down into the comments & they’ll be happy to fill you in on anything and everything there is to know (about 4% of it is true, FYI).

Around the DN since our last open thread:

In their quest for an OC, the Vikings may be waiting on John DeFillpo.

Before anyone runs out to buy one of those shiny used QBs, Chris reminds you to remember those extensions that are going to need to be signed.

Thursday Night Football will be moving to Fox. I don’t care, the fewer of those games the Vikings play in, the better. Too late for me.

News stations bug me with their hyperbolic nonsense about every event, and weather people have gotten almost as bad. “AND LIVE FROM THE SUPER CATASTROPHIC DOUBLE ARMAGEDDON WEATHER CENTER, blah blah blah”. Goofballs. This guy doesn’t like them either, this is pretty funny.

Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:

-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-This isn’t a male version of The View, so leave the gender hatred at the door
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could get someone fired or in serious trouble with their employer
-If you can’t disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it’s sarcasm
