Did someone say tailgating?

A very merry Monday, everyone!

Hey, we got some good tailgating news over the weekend! There’ll be more on that below, but now I have another reason to make it to the first training camp at the new facility (like there weren’t enough reasons already). That news brightened my mood a few more notches, and Mondays are awesome enough to begin with.

Around the DN since our last open thread:

As I mentioned above, it appears there will be tailgating in Eagen at the new facility, with alcohol (but that’s a given, tailgating without alcohol is just..........not really tailgating).

Chris has a mock draft database where you can keep up with all the mock drafts, if that’s your thing.

The Jacksonville Jaguars will NOT be in the hunt for a new QB, as they (somewhat surprisingly) signed Blake Bortles to an extension.

Kyle Rudolph had a surprise for a female football star from Brainerd.

NFL.com had some good things to say about the Vikings offensive line.

Vikings news from other sources and news from around the league:

1500ESPN has their take on the best, and most likely outcome of the Vikings’ QB situation.

The Vikings received two compensatory picks in the upcoming draft, both in the sixth round, per TwinCities.com.

At Vikings.com, Wobby has some storylines to watch in the upcoming draft, Tom Peliserro says Sam Bradford ‘absolutely wants to play’ next year, and there’s more to sift through in the media vault.

From SI.com, Mike Mayock talks about the best prospects and top QBs to watch in the combine.

We come to today’s media selection.

Hey, here’s a funny classic featuring the late, great Chris Farley. Enjoy!

Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:

-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-This isn’t a male version of The View, so leave the gender hatred at the door
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could get someone fired or in serious trouble with their employer
-If you can’t disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it’s sarcasm

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don’t forget to tip your waitress, & try the tiger meat.
