Happy Hump Day, everyone!
Another day, more non-news on the QB front. Doesn’t it seem like we do this every year? What do fans do whose teams have an established starter who is seldom injured? Must be a boring off-season for them, poor things.
Around the DN since our last open thread:
Eric looks at the QB conundrum, and he thinks it’s okay to be unsure.......for now.
Randy Moss’ son, Thadeus, will present his father in Canton.
Chris says to ask not for whom the contract tolls (thanks Chris, you just gave me today’s media selection).
Luft Krigare looks behind the scenes and sees tampering at the NFL combine.
Saxyprince thinks he may be our Cousin(s).
Teddy Bridgewater will become a free agent, per Chris. This means little, in my opinion, the same as the team not franchising Keenum. I still think they know what they’re going to do, and either player is still an option for the team.
Vikings news from other sources and news from around the league:
Some locals chime in on the Vikings’ supposed interest in Cousins, Souhan at the Strib thinks they should go for it, and John Shipley at the Pioneer Press thinks they should as well.
From Vikings.com, the team says their goodbyes to Winter Park, and there are other videos to check out in the media vault.
The Lions are using the franchise tag on Ezekiel Ansah.
In what I feel would be a terrible move, the NFL may make defensive PI a 15 yard penalty. On the bright side, this will negate many big plays by the Packers, but I think this is a really bad move if they choose to make the change.
We come to today’s media selection.
Thank Chris for this one. I love me some Metallica, this one is from Ride The Lightning. Enjoy!
Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:
-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-This isn’t a male version of The View, so leave the gender hatred at the door
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could get someone fired or in serious trouble with their employer
-If you can’t disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it’s sarcasm
With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don’t forget to tip your waitress, & try the tiger meat.
