One of the nicer stories of this NFL postseason is, unfortunately, not going to have quite the ending that we thought it would.
Millie Wall, the 99-year old superfan of the Minnesota Vikings, will not be able to attend Super Bowl LII at U.S. Bank Stadium this evening, as she is battling a bout of pneumonia.
Millie, if you’ll remember, was given tickets to the Vikings’ playoff game against the New Orleans Saints, meaning that she was one of the many that got to witness the Minneapolis Miracle first-hand. While she was at the game, she met NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell. Goodell then gave her a pair of tickets to Super Bowl LII.
Unfortunately, her granddaughter posted this on Twitter last night:
My grandma, Millie Wall, is recovering from pneumonia and unfortunately will not be able to attend Super Bowl tomorrow. https://t.co/8ky73S8wdQ

On the bright side, though, at least Millie and her granddaughter won’t have to subject themselves to Eagles fans, who frankly don’t deserve to have someone like her in their presence anyway.
Here’s hoping that Millie gets well soon and makes a full recovery. Everyone here at The Daily Norseman is pulling for her.
