One of Hollywood’s most prominent stars teamed up with the Minnesota Vikings’ best player to deliver quite the surprise to the family of a young man that is battling cancer.
Vikings’ safety Harrison Smith and Jumanji star Kevin Hart helped to provide a surprise to the family of young Andrew Rojas, who has spent a lot of time in the hospital recently battling cancer. You can see the video of their get-together at the WCCO website.
After Andrew was led to his newly-renovated bedroom, Hart. . .who was wearing a jersey that was decidedly not purple. . .made his entrance first to crack a few jokes. After that, Hart asked Andrew who his favorite player was, and after giving his answer, Harrison Smith made his entrance, giving Andrew a brand new #22 jersey.
There were a couple of charities that made this event possible, and those are Rally Health and Britticares, both of which are based in California. On top of renovating Andrew’s bedroom, WCCO says that there was another surprise involved, as the den was also renovated for Andrew’s mother, Ericka.
As we say when we have stories like this come across the timeline, it’s always nice to see members of the Minnesota Vikings in this sort of light. What an outstanding story. Be sure to check out the video of the whole thing (which we can’t embed here) at the link above.
