Monday Open Thread: March 12, 2018

Merry Monday, everyone!

Finally, Monday has arrived! We get to kick off another fresh work week, and prepare to hear baseless rumors from everyone in the sports media. Keep in mind, NO ONE HAS A CLUE what will happen, other than people who aren’t going to share that info. So, relax, and hope for your favorite scenario to play out, and we’ll see who’s right in a few days. Until then, be cool to one another, and SKOL!

Chris shared the report that Kirk Cousins won’t be taking any free agency visits. Hey, he’s a free agent, so I guess he’s free to do what he wants.

Here’s a fresh take from the Strib that may shock you, they say that the Vikings’ number one need is QB. I dunno, I assumed Sloter was going to be able to handle the QB1 and QB2 spots. I mean, they’re never on the field at the same time, why not save that extra roster spot for another punter or long-snapper? But no, they seem to think the Vikings will not only want two separate guys to fill those roles, they also seem to imply that the team will be looking for a different starter altogether. That’s gonna shake up free agency, I don’t think any of the other teams’ GMs, or anyone else on earth, saw this coming. Another QB. Wow, the Vikings haven’t had to look for a QB for a really long time, this should be interesting, if the Strib has this right.

From NFL.com, Richard Sherman will be staying......in the NFC West, he was signed by the 49ers on a 3-year, $39 million deal.

From CBS Sports, the Browns filled their QB position (again), among other positions, as they went on a bit of a shopping trading spree over the weekend.

The Buccaneers and Mike Evans agreed on a 5-year, $82 million deal to keep Evans in Tampa.
