We told you earlier that the Minnesota Vikings and the Denver Broncos were working on a trade that would send quarterback Trevor Siemian to Minnesota, presumably to back up Kirk Cousins. We now have the final details of that trade.
It's Siemian and 7th round pick in 2018 to Vikings for 5th round pick in 2019. It adds up to value of 6th round pick for Siemian, who was initially a 7th-round compensatory draft choice. #9sports

Denver will send Siemian and their seventh-round pick in this year’s draft (#225 overall) to the Vikings in exchange for a fifth-round pick from the Vikings in the 2019 NFL Draft.
The Vikings appear to be poised to get a bunch of Compensatory selections in next year’s draft, so sending one for an experienced backup like Siemian really isn’t a big deal. Siemian is also pretty cheap, and with the money that Cousins is going to be getting here in the next day or two, that’s a good thing for the Vikings as well.
This means that the Vikings now have eight selections in this year’s NFL Draft. We’ll provide an updated list of the Vikings picks in another post.
So, to recap, the Denver Broncos are sending Trevor Siemian and a 2018 seventh-round pick to the Minnesota Vikings in exchange for a 2019 fifth-round pick.
