It’s Thorsday!

NFL: Minnesota Vikings at Chicago Bears Mike DiNovo-USA TODAY Sports

Good Morning!

We’re mostly through the week with the splash free agency period probably over for the Vikings, still could be looking for some depth or that cagey veteran player to fill a rotational spot. I’m ready for the weekend, the draft and the start of OTA’s.

Around the DN since our last thread:

Courtesy of Chris, Ted and Eric you have your very own Vikings free agency tracker on the front page, I’m leaving this here until the end of free agency.

Chris brings us the most recent updated salary cap information for the Vikings, not including the recent signing of Kicker Kai Forbath.

With the signings of Sheldon Richardson and Kirk Cousins the Vikings are among the leagues most improved teams writes Chris.

Your Minnesota Vikings 2019 Compensatory Draft update also from Chris.

Vikings news from other sources:

From the Vikings homepage, CB Xavier Rhodes surprises siblings after a family tragedy.

Mock madness 4.0 predicts a wide range of players to the Vikings with the 1st round selection.

Wobby opens his pick 6 mailbag for reader questions primarily centered on the draft and future re-signings.

We come to today’s media selection:

Based on yesterday’s conversation about bands covering other songs, today is Nirvana: Lake of Fire.

Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:

-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-This isn’t a male version of The View, so leave the gender hatred at the door
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could get someone fired or in serious trouble with their employer
-If you can’t disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it’s sarcasm
With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up and tie one on. Don’t forget to tip your waitress, try the venison chili and as always, Welcome Aboard and Skol Vikings!
