Minnesota Vikings sign Kendall Wright

He will likely fill the #3 receiver spot

NFL: Cleveland Browns at Chicago Bears Patrick Gorski-USA TODAY Sports

Yesterday, we passed along the news that the Minnesota Vikings were meeting with former Tennessee Titans and Chicago Bears receiver Kendall Wright.

It appears that the meeting went pretty well.

According to Chris Tomasson of the St. Paul Pioneer Press, the Vikings have signed Wright to a deal, the terms of which were not immediately disclosed.

We touched on Wright’s career accomplishments in yesterday’s story about the Vikings meeting with him. He figures to slide into the #3 receiver spot with the Vikings behind Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs. It wouldn’t be surprising to see Wright spend most of his time in the slot, and that’s a good thing according to this stat from Bears’ beat writer Matt Eurich.

We know that Thielen and Diggs are both very good from the slot as well, so this is just going to give new Offensive Coordinator John DeFilippo more flexibility and the ability to play matchups with all the pieces he has around new quarterback Kirk Cousins.

What do you think of the Vikings’ signing Kendall Wright?
